Project 29: 366 days to 30

Today is my 29th birthday. In 366 days, I’ll be a whopping 30 years old (2016 is a leap year… so I get an extra day as a 29 year old. Haha!). Now, in case you hadn’t noticed, I’m pretty terrible at following through when it comes to projects. I’ve already fallen behind on my bi-monthly “selfie” project, and in the last 5 years haven’t managed to complete a 52 weeks or project 365 at all. Like I said, terrible. BUT…. I’m working on my time management skills which will help to complete Project 29. Considering all that happened in April, I’m definitely going to need it!

Project 29 is going to be my weekly recap of what went on during the week for my sweet little family. Of course, I’ll have to start with the WHOLE MONTH of April here… because well, there’s too much good stuff…

April started out with a spur of the moment contributing writer application to one of my favorite blogs, Vivid & Brave. This amazing group of women, write on just about every topic, from business to personal growth. And myself? I’m one of the newest Avengers of Sexiness. This section features posts about love, sex, beauty, health and personal well being. I’m thrilled to be a part of this fantastic group!

April happens to be a huge birthday month around here too. I can count at least 10 of my family and friends who have April birthdays. Which means there’s presents and birthday “parties” and cupcakes. Lots of cupcakes (check my instagram for these if you’d like to see the mouth watering deliciousness).

As April finishes up here, I’m currently filling my calendar for the next year. There are going to be plenty of blogs to write, tons of family time, and hopefully there will be a lot more organization in my future. PINIMAGEPart of Project 29 is going to involve a lot more cooking from home. I’ll be working on cooking from home a lot more, and finding meals my kiddos will actually eat. My hope is that I’ll be able to get my pantry nicely organized and keep it that way. I still need to put doors on the lower portion of the shelves. But I received some gorgeous new saute pans from Pampered Chef and cannot wait to get to cooking with them! I’m hoping for some new dishes for my birthday today, and those would replace my old broken plates. PINIMAGE

So here goes. Project 29. This year is going to be interesting….

xoxo, Markie
