We’ve surpassed the 300 days mark and entered into the 200s. Time is moving faster than I’d really like it to, but it’s not about the “getting older” part anymore. This project has detailed two months of our lives that I may not have paid attention to if I didn’t need something to write about.
For starters… This heat was insane. The image below was taken around 8:15 am, and the thermostat is in my living room. No joke. Evenings were 88-92 in the house. So we found ways to beat the heat…
We took in a baseball game at Cheney Stadium. Emersyn loves baseball and dancing to the rock music they play. She loves some good 80s rock. Bring on Kiss & Def Leppard. When we did finally get home, we hid out in the master bedroom. That’s the only room that has an AC unit right now, so we’re all “camping out” in the one room until the summer is over. Or I can find another AC unit.
Mommy was lucky enough to receive a special delivery… 3 lbs of Starbucks coffee beans. Someone loves her for sure.
Of course on the 4th, we had to show our spirit with some sparklers. Even Opi & Emersyn got in on the action. And on Sunday, Mimi & I decided to start on a new adventure. Biking. We did 5 miles for our first ride. Then I did another 2 miles pulling both girls. It was a lot easier than I imagined it would be.
These little things only barely scrape the surface of our weekend. It was full and we were exhausted by the end of it. Hopefully this weekend won’t be nearly as busy… but I won’t hold my breath.
