I’ve missed a few Project 29 posts, but I swear to you I have a really really good reason. You see, I spent a whole week with my girls (and my parents, brother and sister in law) at Disneyland. It was Emersyn’s first visit and the first time our family had gone during the Harvest Festival. The girls got to trick or treat, and it was still warm enough for shorts (one of my favorite things about Southern California, shorts weather in late October).
Since we’d been planning this trip for almost two whole years, I decided to really make the most of it. I rarely checked email, texts/calls/FB messages got answered when I could get to them, and I focused on my kids. We rode every possible ride (Mimi even went on California Screamin’ but only once and she swore never again), ate tons of good food, and took a lot of pictures.
And when I got home, I knew I’d have to play catch up (and clean my phone off since I ran out of memory. Oops), but the truth is I don’t mind at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the time with my girls and will be making more of an effort to unplug like this when I am home with them. Looking forward to our next trip already.
